FLYNN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIPHOME CITY OF WILSON
The City of Wilson, North Carolina, is requesting BIDS from qualified generalcontractors to provide construction services necessary to complete a FY2012 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Catalyst Special ProjectProgram. The program consists of the rehabilitation of the historic Flynn ChristianFellowship Home located at 209 Goldsboro Street E, Wilson, NC. The FY2012Program is financed with $500,000 of CDBG funds (77% of total program costs).
Qualified contractors must be intermediate (able to work on projects $500,001 -$1,000,000) and have the following insurance requirements as set by the City ofWilson: Worker’s Compensation and General Liability Insurance with minimumsof $1,000,000, Employer’s liability insurance with minimum limits of $500,000/$500,000/$500,000 and commercial automobile liability of $1,000,000. Plans will be available Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 12:00 pm. Plans can be requested bycontacting Sarah Zinn, Project Coordinator, The Wooten Company, at 919-828-0531or by email at email@example.com. Contractors that previously pre-qualified will automatically be sent new plans. A mandatory pre-bid walkthroughwill be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 10:00 am. Bids will be due Wednesday,July 30, 2014 at 10:00 am. Bid packages can be mailed or delivered to John Morck,Community Development Manager, 112 Goldsboro Street E., Wilson, NC 27894.The Flynn Christian Fellowship Home is a historically significant building and workwill be done in coordination with the NC State Historic Preservation Office.
