Sealed proposals will be received by County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Room 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 South McDowell Street, Raleigh NC 27601 for providing labor, material and equipment entering into a Single Prime Contract for the Oak View Tenant House, Phase II located in the Oak View Historic Park, Raleigh, NC.
Sealed Single Prime bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday August 5, 2014 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read.
The project consists of the renovation of a historic tenant house that was recently moved to the Oak View Historic Park.  Included in the scope of this phase is the construction of two masonry chimneys, the completion of the exterior siding and trim, the restoration and replacement of the windows and doors, and the completion of the interior.
All contractors are hereby notified that they must demonstrate successful preservation experience as the general contractor with the renovation/restoration of a minimum three historic structures within the past five years defined as follows:
1. Buildings individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places
2. A Contributing Structure to a National Register Historic District
3. Individually listed as a Local Historic Property by a local governmental entity in North Carolina
4. A Contributing Structure to a Local Historic District by a local governmental entity in North Carolina
Complete plans and specifications can be obtained from Clearscapes, PA, 311-200 W. Martin Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, (919-821-2775) for a refundable plan deposit of  one hundred dollars ($100.00) made out to the Designer. 
Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with North Carolina Law.  Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in the bidding documents. Failure to comply with these requirements may grounds for rejection of the bid.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held Tuesday July 22,  2014 at 10:00 a.m in the Historic Oak View County Park at the tenant house.
Wake County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
