Spreading the Word - Measuring Influence, Quality Connections and Social Networking

The results indicate on average, the person with more friends has less influence. Although the study could not the determine the intensity of communication between members, it is clear that members have limited time and therefore as the number of friends increase, one has less time for each friend.

At the same time, female friends proved more influential than their male counterparts. In comparing different age groups, older people were more prone to influence while younger individuals showed higher influence on the older group than the latter’s peers. Although these demographic results may be specific to the certain site, it is interesting how groups that traditionally have lower social power become influencers in this context.

The Living Word
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (International Children’s Bible)

16: The Lord himself will come down from heaven. There will be a loud command with the voice of the archangel[a] and with the trumpet call of God. And those who have died and were in Christ will rise first.

17: After that, those who are still alive at that time will be gathered up with them. We will be taken up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord forever.

18: So comfort each other with these words.
