First-Year Babson College Undergraduate Students Launch 16 New Businesses

by 03/30/2010

All first-year Babson College undergraduate students have developed businesses for teams of thirty students as part of the required Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME) course.

FME is a seven-credit, year-long immersion into the world of business in which student teams invent, develop, launch, manage, and liquidate a business. Along the way, students study entrepreneurship, marketing, accounting, organizational behavior, information systems, and operations. The College provides up to $3,000 as startup money for these student businesses. This year’s 16 businesses will run throughout the spring semester.
