Lied-to Children More Likely to Cheat and Lie

The study tested 186 children ages 3 to 7

The study tested 186 children ages 3 to 7 in a temptation-resistance paradigm. Approximately half of the children were lied to by an experimenter, who said there was “a huge bowl of candy in the next room” but quickly confessed this was just a ruse to get the child to come play a game.

Unconscious Mind Can Detect a Liar When Conscious Mind Fails

The unconscious mind could catch a liar

“We set out to test whether the unconscious mind could catch a liar – even when the conscious mind failed,” says ten Brinke. Along with Berkeley-Haas Assistant Professor Dana R. A Ticket Splitter Goes Straight

Written by Peter Grear on 14 October 2012.

OUR ENDORSEMENTS

Voter suppression is racist, fascist, un-American, un-democratic ideology and is the greatest threat to civil rights since the movement of the 1960’s. Unfortunately, the Republican Party, in an unholy alliance with (ALEC) the American Legislative Exchange Council, has its heart set on voter suppression and the disenfranchisement of Blacks, Hispanics, the elderly and students. Although, not all republicans hold all of these attitudes, most of those that don’t aid and abet disenfranchisement by supporting voter suppression laws with party line votes.

Regretfully, voting a straight Democratic Party ticket is one of the only mechanisms that ordinary voters have to resist voter suppression. Democrats have consistently fought against republican voter suppression efforts. Therefore, we believe that electing democrats is essential for protecting our right to vote. I was a ticket splitter.

THE PRESIDENTIAL CONTEST:

The offices of President and Vice President of the United States are not included in a Straight Party vote. This contest must be voted separately.

STEP ONE: Our choice for President and Vice President: Barack Obama & Joe Biden

STRAIGHT PARTY VOTING:

A Straight Party vote is a vote for All candidates of that party in PARTISAN OFFICES. It is not necessary to mark individual candidates for PARTISAN OFFICES if you vote a Straight Party.

STEP TWO: Our choice for Straight Party: Democratic

NONPARTISAN OFFICES:

There are four seats opens for judicial candidates statewide therefore you have four votes.

STEP THREE: Our choices:

NC Supreme Court Sam J. Ervin IV

NC Court of Appeals Linda McGee

NC Court of Appeals Wanda Bryant

NC Court of Appeals Cressie Thigpen

WE ARE NOT MAKING ENDORSEMENTS FOR LOCAL RACES AND REFERENDUMS
