For two months, artist Clara Dutton worked on a three-paneled image of a creature she loves -- the elephant. She often wept as she painted. The art -- 10 feet wide and 7 feet tall -- is garish. The fallen animal in the central panel has been decapitated; on each side panel is a life-sized likeness of a bloody, severed tusk.

Every year around 2,300 teenagers "age out" of foster care in California, meaning they reach the age of 18 without ever having been placed with a permanent family. A staggering 65 percent of those youth leave foster care with nowhere to go; many end up homeless. That's why Project Homeless Connect is teaming up with the non-profit group Honoring Emancipated Youth (HEY) to try and change that.

The Babson College MBA Healthcare & Life Sciences Club will hold its 7th annual industry forum on April 15, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., at Babson College.
The recently passed healthcare legislation is a watershed moment for the industry and delivery of care to patients. As a result, old institutions and inefficiencies are being done away with in favor of technological advances that encourage high-touch care and patient empowerment. As occurs during industry turning points, opportunities for entrepreneurs are abundant. This year’s conference seeks to identify these opportunities by examining various areas of growth, including healthcare IT, venture capital funding and the use of new social media technologies in marketing healthcare products.
