raise funds to support the Centre of Redemption\, which provides a better
opportunity of life to female survivors of sex trafficking\, by offering
safe long-term housing\, education\, counseling and life skills aiding in
their integration to independence.

Country for Kids CONCERT at DPAC\, Durham Performing Arts Ce

Curtis Media Group announced today the addition of a charity concert
\, dubbed “Country for Kids\,” to the eleventh annual N.C. Children’
s Promise Radiothon/Telethon. Tickets for the concert—being held at 7:00
p.m. on Tuesday\, November 27\, 2012 at DPAC\, Durham Performing Arts Cen
ter—go on sale this Friday\, Sept 21 at 10 a.m.\, with proceeds benefiti
ng North Carolina Children’s Hospital.

, Country for Kids will feature live performances from six artists: Kix Br
ooks\, Scotty McCreery\, Josh Thompson\, Lee Brice\, Gloriana and Jason Mi
chael Carroll. The concert event will be the celebratory culminations of a
day full of miraculous stories being broadcast live from the N.C. Childre
n’s Hospital lobby on nearly 20 Curtis Media Group radio stations and Ti
me Warner Cable’s News 14 Carolina as part of the N.C. Children’s Prom
iseRadiothon/Telethon\, UNC Health Care’s largest fundraising event each
year.

ual Propelling Undergraduate Students Higher (PUSH) Symposium that has now
been expanded to cover two days. In addition\, transfer students intere
sted in attending NCCU are invited to the pre-conference Transfer Day sess
ions where they will learn more about what it takes to be an NCCU Eagle. T
he Transfer Day will kick off on Friday\, Nov. 30\, at 10 a.m. and the PUS
H Symposium will follow at noon and run through Saturday\, Dec. 1\, at 2 p
.m.
The PUSH Symposium is aimed at minority males from high sch
ools\, community colleges\, and student athletes from four-year universiti
es. Details are still being finalized\, but the many concurrent sessions w
