'Women 2013-Navigating Life'
\nA Show by Women for Wom
en to Benefit Women. There will be vendors from hand bags to handy men and
everything in between to assist and support women as they navigate their
lives. The show is Saturday\, March 16m 9AM to 5PM and Sunday\, March 17\,
11AM to 5PM at Cape Fear Community College Schwartz Center. Tickets are $

Calling all Triangle Youth Step teams!
On March 1
6th\, the members of the Sigma Rho Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority\
, Inc. (Cary\, NC) will host the 8th Triangle Youth Step-Off. This youth s
howcase is inspired by the traditional African-American Greek step shows.
The showcase is designed to encourage creativity\, education\, and healthy
competition. Teams from area schools\, churches and community organizatio
ns will compete at Sanderson HS Auditorium in Raleigh\, NC. The doors open
at 1:30 pm\, the event begins at 2pm. This year\, up to 8 teams will repr
esent Raleigh\, Durham\, Cary and surrounding areas. The cost for entry is
$8 in advance\, $10 at the door. Group sale discounts are available. The
proceeds of the event will support the chapter’s Annual High School scho
larship to be awarded to a graduating Cary resident.
The first Ste
p-Off\, held in 2004 drew a crowd of over 500 attendees. Over the years th
e event has grown\, awarding local teams the honor of Step-Off Champions.
This year’s winning team will join the roster of the area’s most talen
ted step teams. Previous winners include Dillard Middle School\, Fuquay’
s Finest\, Little Betas\, Blue Dynasty Community Center\, and Victorious P
raise Step team. The first\, second and third place teams will win a cash
prize and trophy.

the chapter to host the event\, the premise was to provide local youth te
ams with a public outlet to display their amazing talents. The goal was to
be inclusive of school\, church\, recreational and community center teams
. The event has grown with each passing year and it is indeed a pleasure t
o witness the creativity and originality of all the teams that participate
” Angela Brown\, the event’s founding chairwoman. The chapter consists
of twenty-six women that share interests in scholarship\, service\, siste
rly love\, and finer womanhood. This program brings the national ZHOPE pro
gram locally where members help others through programming which support e
ducational\, health and wellness initiatives. This year’s Step-Off is ex
pected to sell out the 800 seat capacity of Sanderson High School’s audi
