The North Carolina Black Repertory Company’s Teen Theatre Ensemble will perform the stage play “By a Black Hand,” written by Professor Arthur Reese and Darryl Goodman, directed by Mabel Robinson. This compelling production is intended for youth of all ages, as it reveals rare and enlightening history facts (that you won’t find in the text books or everyday curriculum) about Black inventors, whose creations we use in everyday life. “By a Black Hand” revolves around a young woman who is troubled about her lack of knowledge concerning the contributions of her African American ancestors. With the help of her grandfather and her favorite Hip-Hop trio, she is able to finally learn the true worth of her heritage. With their high energy, mesmerizing lyrics, and contemporary dance moves, the Teen Theatre Ensemble will deliver an unforgettable history lesson that is a “must see!”

Cost: $8
