 siness by using social media\, video\, blogs\, newsletters\, video games a
 nd more! This three hour workshop includes lunch and teaches executives an
 d small business owners how to market themselves and their businesses thro
 ugh transmedia storytelling. Transmedia Storytelling is the art of telling
  a story with a central theme across multiple media platforms. Workshop at
 tendees will be given real world case studies and work in groups to break 
 down the different elements of a story and learn how each element can play
  an important role in connecting with various audiences\, both employees a
 nd customers alike.<br /><br />Attendees will also explore multiple forms 
 of media and learn how to take one concept and expand it across different 
 mediums. Participants receive paper and digital handouts outlining the dif
 ferent elements of a story as well as examples of how one story can be tol
 d across multiple platforms. Further\, participants will also receive work
 sheets for strategic brainstorming along with the case study exploration.<
 br /><br />The workshop proceeds in three sections in which facilitators: 
 define transmedia and digital storytelling\, discuss how a single concept 
 can be turned into a transmedia story and discuss case studies in small br
 eakout groups with attendees.<br /><br />Workshop classes are small in siz
 e (no more than 10 participants) to ensure hands on learning.<br /><br />C
