'The non-profit National Private Duty Association (NPDA) will bring together hundreds of home care provider professionals at their annual lead ership conference this September in Orlando.
\nThis event\, open to all private duty home care companies\, will address the latest trends and information in this quickly growing se rvice industry. Many programs and presentations will take place to educate attendees.
\nHundreds of Home C are Providers to meet in Orlando at NPDA Annual Leadership Conference
\nThe non-profit National Private Du ty Association (NPDA) will host its Annual Leadership Conference in Orland o\, Sept. 12-14\, 2012. The theme for the event\, held at the Hilton in th e Walt Disney Resort\, is Transitions in Care – The Time is Now. This ye ar’s event will mark the organization’s 10th Anniversary.
\nThe conference\, open to all private duty home care companies\, will include education programs led by private duty industry experts\, peer networking and discussion opportunities\, and an i ndustry trade show. Attendees will participate in sessions on topics such as successfully running a competitive private duty business\, addressing k ey clinical issues\, taking advantage of advances in technology\, hiring a nd keeping the best employees\, increasing profits through quality care an d today’s legal and regulatory issues.
\nKeynote presenters include Dr. Kent Bottles\, who will address how private duty home care fits into the transformation of the American cl inical delivery system\, human resources expert Mel Kleiman who will share his proven process on how to build world-class teams by recruiting\, hiri ng and retaining the best employees\, and industry attorney John C. Gillil and\, II will provide a legal update.
\n“There are many changes and advances in our competitive industry \,” said Sheila McMackin\, president of NPDA. “NPDA’s intent is to p rovide a key opportunity for home care agency professionals to learn the l atest trends from industry leaders and the best business practices from th ought leaders outside our industry. \nIn addition to the main conference\, a p re-conference workshop titled The Essential Tools for Transitions in Care: Operations\, Marketing and Technology will take place Sept. 11-12\, 2012.
