Please join us for a very special gallery talk with Ward Mintz, Guest Curator of Art/Sewn as he talks about his involvement in this project and the works included. Ward is Executive Director of the Coby Foundation in New York, the nation’s only foundation to focus solely on grants to the fashion and textile field, and is an independent curator, lecturer and consultant on exhibitions and collections. Ward will be joined in this gallery talk by artists in the exhibition who are in Asheville for the opening reception. This event is held in conjunction with the exhibition Art/Sewn.
