 br />First-Year Experience at Craven Community College<br /><br />Welcome 
 <br /><br />If you are a new student\, you will need to attend a New Stude
 nt Orientation session before you will be eligible to register for classes
 . Participation is required for all new students\, transfer students and r
 eturning students working towards their certificate\, diploma or associate
  degree.<br /><br />Orientation will include important information about a
 cademic life and expectations at Craven\, tips on being successful in coll
 ege\, and student support services. Attending orientation is your first st
 ep towards ensuring your success at Craven.<br /><br />This Orientation do
 es not include academic advising.  You will need to make a separate appoi
 ntment to see an academic advisor.<br /><br />Exceptions/Do Not Need to Co
 mplete Orientation:<br /><br />Admitted directly into a special admission 
 program -- Basic Law Enforcement Training\, Medical Assisting\, Nursing\, 
 Physical Therapist Assistant</p>\n<ul>\n<li> Early College students</li>\n
 <li> Special credit/Visiting students (non-degree seeking)</li>\n<li> Stud
 ents who have completed a bachelor's degree or higher.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If

 ation\, please complete the online orientation that is available on the Fi

  exempt from taking the placement test if they meet certain requirements.Â
