Book 'Em North Carolina Writers Conference and Book Fair

Buy a Book and Stop a Crook! Come to the Book’Em Foundation’s second annual conference at Robeson Community College on Feb. 23, from 9:30 am-4:30 pm. Proceeds from book sales will go to increasing literacy and reducing crime in Robeson County. Headlining the event will be New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Mary Alice Monroe, who will discuss her path to success and her passion for writing environmental fiction and Hollywood producer Chuck Williams, who will discuss the process of turning books into movies. More than 75 authors, publishers, book promoters and literary agents will be at this one-day event. The event will include panel discussions and solo talks from authors, and authors will be on hand to chat with fans and give autographs.
