Hailed by critics a s “a grand departure from the usual” (News Herald)\, the Manhattan Pia no Trio has quickly beco me one of the most creative\, exciting\, and dynamic young ensembles in t he United States. With more than 300 concerts in its first five seasons al one\, MPT is one of the most active groups in the classical music scene an d is welcomed by enthusiastic audiences in over 30 states\, Italy\, South Africa and Australia. The Trio comprises Milana Strezeva (piano)\, Wayne L ee (violin)\, and Dmitry Kouzov (cello)\, all award winning soloists in th eir own right. Since its inception in 2004\, the Trio has captured grand p rizes at the Plowman Competition and at the Yellow Springs Competition\; r unner-up at the Chesapeake Competition\; and the Australian Broadcasting C orporation Listeners’ Choice Award in Melbourne.
