 er the past decade\, VaShawn Mitchell has left his mark on Gospel music as
  an acclaimed minister of music\, songwriter and worship leader. A native 
 of Chicago\, he held prominent positions in the music departments of two o
 f the Windy City’s most well-known churches while still a teenager. Sinc
 e that time\, Mitchell has become a recognized songwriter\, penning hits f
 or several of Gospel’s most celebrated voices.<br /><br />VaShawn is mak
 ing his major-label debut with the release of Triumphant on EMI Gospel. Th
 e project was recorded live at Higher Living Christian Church\, the Atlant
 a-based ministry where Mitchell has been Director of Worship & Arts since
