Chin s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recen t works by the artist in this exhibition.

Quick Trip (1.5 hours)
This leisurely 3-mile float through the tree-
lined banks of this peaceful river allows any paddler the opportunity to e
njoy the scenic beauty of the Raleigh Canoe Trail. See turtles\, water
fowl\, shorebirds\, turkeys\, deer and the occasional raccoon as you float
under the canopy of beautiful pines and hardwoods. The trip lasts approxi
mately 1.5 hours and is recommended for small groups\, families\, couples\
, or corporate events.
The Canoe Quick Trip begins at the Canoe Laun
ch directly across the street from our shop off of Falls of Neuse Road and
ends at our private take out on Capital Blvd.
*Paddle Creek cannot a
ccommodate for children that require a booster seat or car seat to ride in

ed as one of the Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 events last autumn\, (
for the third consecutive year)\, the 2011 MOJA Arts Festival promises an
exciting line-up of events with a rich variety of traditional favorites. N
early half of MOJA's events are admission-free and the remainder are offer
ed at very modest ticket prices\, ranging from $5 - $20.
The M
OJA Arts Festival is a multi-disciplinary festival produced and directed b
y the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs in partnership with th
e MOJA Planning Committee\, a community arts and cultural group and the MO
JA Advisory Board\, a group of civic leaders who assist with fund raising
and advocacy. MOJA\, a Swahili word meaning 'One\,' is the appropriate nam
e for this festival celebration of harmony amongst all people in our commu
nity. The Festival highlights the many African-American and Caribbean cont
ributions to western and world cultures. MOJA's wide range of events inclu
de visual arts\, classical music\, dance\, gospel concert\, jazz concert\,
poetry\, R&B concert\, storytelling\, theatre\, children's activities\, t
raditional crafts\, ethnic food\, and much\, much more.
In add
ition to its myriad arts presentations\, MOJA also includes an active and
busy educational outreach component of workshops in the public schools.
