JJ Smith to Host Historic Weight Loss Summit in Washington: Up to 1,000 Black Women Expected to Attend

by 04/06/2015

Nutritionist, certified weight loss expert and the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the mega hit, 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse, JJ Smith, is hosting a major health and weight loss summit called “Sexy By Summer” this May 30th and 31st in Washington, DC.  However, there is something remarkably different about this health conference!

Contrary to the demographic of many popular health seminars, this event will bring together up to 1,000 mostly African-American women whom have all decided to take out their credit cards, make travel arrangements and reserve hotels to come to a summit about losing weight and getting healthy!  These women are not practitioners…they are not medical professionals…this event is not work related. These are inspired and hopeful women excited to attend a live event and learn how to get their sexy back!

The obvious question is why are they doing this?  The truth is, JJ Smith is different, fresh and… well, needed. She has found a way to make healthy taste good, which is helping people globally to crave healthy, nutrient-rich foods. This coupled with her teachings and ongoing support is changing lives!  According to JJ, “They’ve seen and experienced amazing transformations. Women have gone from morbidly obese to size 4’s, reversed pre-diabetes, eliminated blood pressure meds, gotten healthy enough to engage with their families in an entirely different way. They are inspired by what has happened in the last 12 months”.  This conference will bring together many real-life success stories to serve as an inspiration and teaching tool to others.

An example of this is Tameka (pictured above).  She has lost 120 pounds last year, and plans to share her story at the upcoming “Sexy by Summer” Conference.  Tameka jumpstarted her weight loss with the 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse and continues to live a lifestyle of detoxing, eating healthy and moving to continue her weight loss journey. Tameka says, “I’m 30 years old with PCOS and used to struggle with irregular cycles. By Day 4 of the green smoothie cleanse, I started my cycle for the first time on my own in over 10 years!  Medications that the doctors prescribed didn’t even work.  My energy is amazing! I’m on a natural high, and life is so amazing. JJ Smith has completely changed and saved my life forever! My relationship with food has completely changed!” (Read more success stories like Tameka’s at http://ow.ly/3xxHZm)

When JJ is asked if she knew her books would lead to such a movement, she enthusiastically shares: “I knew I could help women lose weight, one green smoothie at a time, and I’ve been able to help thousands of women get healthier, slimmer and sexier. But, now I know I can teach women to help others lose weight and get healthy in a way that not only leads to permanent weight loss but that can significantly help our communities!  There is nothing more important in my life right now than helping people change their lives!  I see it, and I know that if we all work together we can make it happen.”

JJ says, “Losing weight doesn’t mean getting skinny;” she encourages women to “lose the weight, but not the curves” while getting healthier at the same time.  The “Sexy By Summer” conference promises to be an epic event.
