WARREN COUNTY BRIDGE NO. 44 WATER MAIN RELOCATION
WARREN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Warren County Bridge No. 44 Water Main Relocation will be received by Warren County, at the office of Warren County Public Utilities located at 712 U.S. Hwy. 158 Business West, Warrenton, North Carolina 27589 until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing approximately 600 linear feet of 6″ Fusible C900 PVC water main installed by directional boring, approximately 330 linear feet of 6” restrained joint ductile iron water main, approximately 790 linear feet of 6” C900 PVC water main and appurtenances associated with replacement of Warren County Bridge No. 44 on Baltimore Road (SR 1600) under NCDOT Highway WBS Element No. 17BP.5.R.76 in Warren County, North Carolina.
Bids must be submitted on the complete project. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to Warren County Public Utilities Office, 712 U.S. Hwy. 158 Business West, P.O. Box 577, Warrenton, North Carolina 27589 and the outside of the envelope must be marked “Bid for Warren County Bridge No. 44 Water Main Relocation”. All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the bound document. The name, address, and license number with limitation and classification of the Bidder must be plainly marked thereon.
Contractors are notified that North Carolina G.S. 87 relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Rivers & Associates, Inc. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined online at ConstructConnect Plan Room www.constructconnect.com, and at the office of Warren County Public Utilities, 712 U.S. Hwy. 158 Business West, Warrenton, North Carolina 27589.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $50.00 for each set. Bona fide bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. An additional electronic (.pdf) version of plans and specifications may be purchased for an additional $35.00 non-refundable fee. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Rivers & Associates, Inc.”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A “non-mandatory” pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the office of Warren County Public Utilities located at 712 U.S. Hwy. 158 Business West, Warrenton, North Carolina 27589. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. In accordance with the Minority Participation Goals, potential prime Contractor(s), should attend the Pre-Bid Conference.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
