NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CITY OF SANFORD
CHARLOTTE AVENUE SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION
Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes Section 143-129, sealed Bids will be received by the City of Sanford, North Carolina until Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM and then publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of City of Sanford Charlotte Avenue Sewer Extension. The bid opening will be held at the City of Sanford (Engineering Dept), North Carolina at 225 E. Weatherspoon Street, Sanford, North Carolina, 27330.
Bids shall be for furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment as detailed on the contract documents dated November 2017. The major project items include:
- Temporary traffic control
- Sanitary sewer main installation
- Sanitary sewer service installation
- Asphalt patching
Each Bidder shall be appropriately licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Public Utilities Contractor as provided in General Statutes Chapter 87 and have the ability to produce evidence of experience in construction of projects of similar size and nature. Bidders must be able to comply with all local, state, and federal contract provisions as specified in the contract documents.
The contract documents may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $40.00 at the office of the Owner’s Engineers (call for an appointment):

The contract documents are available for examination online at isqft.com. The Owner’s Engineer will also make the contract documents available for examination via email. However, only bids submitted on the Bid Form included in the Project Specifications purchased directly from the Engineer will be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any part of a Bid, and to waive formalities and technicalities in the Bids. The Bid shall remain subject to acceptance and not withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
