City of Lenoir, NC – Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

We are soliciting subcontract bids for the following trades: Materials, Staking & Surveying, Seeding, Mulching, Water, Sewer, Hauling, Clearing & Grubbing, Erosion Control, Site Grading, Metals, Finishes, Painting, Demolition, Cast-in-Place Concrete Construction, Rebar Tying, Concrete Forming, Electrical & Other Incidental Items Necessary for Construction to complete the project.
The Project Generally Consists of two (2) mechanical pre-treatment systems, two (2) additional filters, alum sludge tank improvements, 30-inch raw water line and meter vault relocation, 36-inch effluent line to existing Rapid Mix, 36-inch filter effluent line relocation, 16-inch backwash line relocation, chemical feed point relocations, alum sludge basin cleaning, site work, paving, piping, valves, electrical, controls, SCADA programming and all other related appurtenances. The mechanical pre-treatment units will be of cast-in-place construction, with piping, valves, mixers, weirs, polymer feed system and pumps in an enclosed structure, equipment in a block building, controls, electrical and related items. The Filters will be of cast-in-place concrete construction with underdrains, sand and anthracite media, air/water scour backwash system, washwater troughs, piping, valves and actuators and filter controls.

It is Jimmy R. Lynch & Sons, Inc. policy NOT to require M/WBE subcontractors to provide bonding to Jimmy R. Lynch & Sons, Inc. for their portion of the work. All M/WBE subcontractors will be allowed to work under Jimmy R. Lynch & Sons, Inc Performance & Payment Bonds to the Owner.
Financial Assistance Policy:
Jimmy R. Lynch & Sons, Inc. will provide Joint Check Agreements to all M/WBE subcontractors. Please request a Joint Check Agreement in writing. We will work with you and the material vendor to develop a Joint Check Agreement to satisfy all parties
Quick Payments Policy:
It is Jimmy R. Lynch & Sons, Inc. policy to provide Quick Payments to all M/WBE subcontractors. Jimmy R Lynch & Sons, Inc will provide payment to all M/WBE subcontractors on a weekly basis if the work for which payment is being requested is complete and accepted by the Owner.
JRL encourages 2nd tier M/WBE Subcontracting opportunities. We encourage our subcontractors to utilize 2nd and 3rd tier M/WBE Subcontractors.
