Construction of the Fuquay Varina Public Library located in Fuquay Varina, NC

Sealed proposals will be received by  County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 McDowell Street,  Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 3:00 p.m. on January 31, 2018, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of the Fuquay Varina Public Library located in Fuquay Varina, NC.

The general scope is as follows:

The project is a one-story 9,500 sf library building for Wake County on a 5.25 acre site with 65 parking spaces in Fuquay Varina. The library has reading and stack areas, offices, workrooms, storage,  restrooms and mechanical space. The building is a steel frame structure with storefront glazing systems, metal panel rainscreen exterior enclosure system, and masonry veneer. The exterior includes grading, site utilities, landscaping, exterior  signage and lighting.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Wake County Facilities Design and Construction Offices, Main Conference Room, 336 Fayetteville Street,  WCOB, 11th Floor, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601 at 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, on January 16, 2018.

Complete contract documents will be available for review online at http:// and will be open for inspection in the offices of the Architect  beginning January 8, 2018. Upon receipt of written requests to the architect, plans and specifications may be obtained from the Raleigh Duncan Parnell office located at 201 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27603, (919) 833-4677. Printed copies and a disk with digital files may be obtained from the Raleigh Duncan Parnell  office upon a non-refundable fee of Three hundred and seventy-five Dollars ($375) in cash or certified check.
