Construction of the UNC-CH Pedestrian Improvement Project – Porthole Alley

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

PREQUALIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTORS

Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20, in the office of Jill Coleman, Giles F. Horney Building, 103 Airport Drive, Suite 202, Chapel Hill, NC 27599, for the construction of the UNC-CH Pedestrian Improvement Project – Porthole Alley, at which time and place bids will be opened and read in the Persimmon Conference Room (Room 129).

Complete plans and specifications for this project may be obtained from the office of Surface 678, PA, 215 Morris Street, Suite 150, Durham, NC 27701 (919) 419-1199 during normal office hours after June 27, 2016.  The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:  Surface 678, PA, (215 Morris Street, Suite 150, Durham); University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill HUB Resource Center at 103 Airport Drive (Chapel Hill); Association General Contractors (Raleigh); McGraw-Hill Dodge Corporation (Online); Eastern Regional Office of Reed Construction Data (Online); NCIMED Plan & Resource Center (Durham); and Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (Raleigh).

Plan Deposit One Hundred Dollars ($100).  Digital copies of the plans are available upon request at no cost.

Bidders must be pre-qualified GENERAL CONTRACTORS to be eligible to bid. The pre-qualified bidders are:

Carolina Sunrock, J.M. Thompson, Mid-Atlantic Infrastructure, and Progressive Contracting Company.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on Wednesday, July 6 at 1:30pm, 2016 in the office of University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Facilities (Giles Horney Building) at 103 Airport Drive Chapel Hill, NC 27599 in Persimmon Room #129.  A site walk at the project site will follow after the meeting.

The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
