BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST:

Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by the Town of Wake Forest and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade and specialty contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment and tools to perform the new construction for Joyner Park Community Center located in Wake Forest, NC. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  This project will be located on 701 Harris Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587 and consists of a new 31,962 square foot, 2-story community center. The building will consist of structural steel sitting on cast in place concrete spread footings.  A full size gymnasium with an elevated walking track is the primary function of the facility, also included is a multi-purpose room, restrooms, classroom, studio, and supporting spaces. On-site and off-site construction shall consist of grading, storm drainage, utilities, site improvements, paving, landscaping, and fencing. The building envelope primarily consists of fiber-cement siding panels on metal-stud backup with 8” batt insulation and standing seam metal roofing system. Typical building interiors include GWB partitions and assemblies, acoustical ceilings, PLAM casework, painting, flooring, and building specialties.
