Bids will be received and opened publicly at the Wake Forest Town Hall 1st Floor Meeting Room A&B, located at 301 S. Brooks Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Bids will not be accepted from bidders that are not pre-qualified. No facsimile or email submissions are permitted. Sealed bids are to be hand delivered to the bid opening location noted above, or mailed Sealed Bids can be delivered before 12:00 pm the day of the bid to the Raleigh office of Barnhill Contracting Company, 4325 Pleasant Valley Rd, Raleigh NC 27612. Barnhill Contracting Company will receive, open and read publicly all bids received. PREBID Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Wake Forest Town Hall – Board Chambers Room, located at 301 S. Brooks Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587. In accordance with General Statute GS 133-3, Specifications may list one or more preferred brands as an alternate to the base bid in limited circumstances. Specifications containing a preferred brand alternate under this section must identify the performance standards that support the preference.  Performance standards for the preference must be approved in advance by the owner in an open meeting conducted on the same day/time/location as the PREBID meeting. The following items are being considered for this project: building automation control systems. A copy of pertinent sections of the performance standards may be obtained by contacting Barnhill Contracting Company. Bid Documents can be viewed or downloaded through Barnhill’s online plan room at after Monday January 8, 2018.  Hardcopies of full or partial sets of documents can also be purchased directly from Duncan Parnell by contacting Customer Service at (919) 833-4677.

All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective Bid submission.  Minority Business participation is a part of this contract and must comply with all requirements set forth in the Bid Documents.
