Sealed bids for the Central Piedmont Community College Merancas Campus New Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Lab and Driving Course, Huntersville, North Carolina will be received by Kent Reid, Director of Design and Construction, Facilities Services, until 3:00 pm on November 14th, 2017, at the Drumm Facilities Services Building, 1325 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204, and thereafter opened and publicly read.
The work includes General, Site, Civil, Structural, Plumbing Mechanical and Electrical work to be constructed under a Single Prime Contract. The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual.
Prospective bidders may obtain complete sets of plans and specifications through the office of ADW Architects, p.a., 2815 Coliseum Centre Drive, Suite 500, Charlotte, NC 28217 during normal business hours beginning October 23rd, 2017, and in the plan rooms of iSqFt (previously Associated General Contractors) http://www.isqft.com/start/, Dodge http://construction.com/, CMD Group (formerly Reed Construction Data) http://www.cmdgroup.com, and in Minority Plan Rooms of Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC) in Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Raleigh Areas – 877-227-1680.
An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on October 30th, 2017, at 3:00 pm at the Drumm Facilities Services Building, 1325 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms. This meeting is mandatory for all General Contractors interested in bidding the project.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier’s check issued by or a certified check drawn on a bank of trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation payable to Central Piedmont Community College in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina. If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades.
The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
