Sealed proposals will be received by the County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Room 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 S. McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the Single Prime Contract for construction of the Morrisville Community Library Project, located in Raleigh, NC

The following firms have been prequalified to submit bids as General Contractors for this project:

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Wake County Facilities Design and Construction Offices, Main Conference Room, 336 Fayetteville Street, WCOB, 11th Floor, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601 at 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, on Thursday, September 20, 2018.  All Contractors are to be present.

Complete contract documents will be open for inspection in the offices of the Architect; AGC, Raleigh Branch; F.W. Dodge, Raleigh Branch.

Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents may be obtained, during normal business hours, beginning September 11, 2018, by creating an account at the reprographics house “Next Plans” at the following web address: Only complete sets of documents will be issued.  Prime bidders will be responsible for ensuring that all sub bidders have complete sets of documents for a comprehensive review of the project scope.  All costs associated with downloading, printing and shipping will be the bidder’s expense.

Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with NCGS §143-8.  Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in Section 00 40 00 of the Project Manual.

No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (90) days after the scheduled closing time for bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
