NCDOT VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING
PROPOSED WIDENING OF I-95 BETWEEN I-74 AND U.S. 301 /
FAYETTEVILLE ROAD IN LUMBERTON


STIP PROJECT NO. I-6064

LUMBERTON – The public is invited to participate in a live virtual meeting on Sept. 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. to learn more about a project to widen a nine-mile section of I-95 in Lumberton and replace three interchanges.

The project to upgrade the interstate between Exit 13 (Interstate 74) and Exit 22 (U.S. 301/Fayetteville Road) is intended to improve traffic safety and regional mobility; ease congestion; and assist economic development in primarily rural areas of eastern North Carolina.

People may sign up for the virtual meeting by going to ncdot.gov/projects/i-95-wideninglumberton, and clicking on the registration link. People may use their telephone to listen during the virtual meeting by calling 1-213-929-4212 and entering access code 798-712-385. The virtual meeting will be recorded and made available as a video on the website afterward.

A presentation of what the improvements would look like, will be given during the virtual meeting. The audience may submit questions via a chat box or email.

People may go at any time to the NCDOT website listed above to review project materials, watch videos and submit questions or comments. Comments received by Oct. 15 will be considered toward the final design.
