NCDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING
FOR THE PROPOSED WIDENING OF N.C. 711 (WEST 3RD STREET)
FROM NORTH ODOM STREET (S.R. 1340) TO REDMOND ROAD (S.R. 1557)
STIP PROJECT NO. R-4428
The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed project to widen N.C. 711 (West 3rd Street) from North Odom Street (S.R. 1340) to Redmond Road (S.R. 1557) to a four-lane divided facility in Pembroke. The purpose of this project is to enhance mobility for pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular traffic and improve safety on N.C. 711 using a Complete Streets approach.
The meeting will take place on Monday, February 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pembroke Town Hall located at 100 Union Chapel Road in Pembroke. The public may drop-in at any time during the meeting hours. Please note that no formal presentation will be made.
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project. The opportunity to submit comments will also be provided at the meeting or via phone, email, or mail by February 26, 2019. Comments received will be taken into consideration as the project develops.
