Raleigh Fire Station No. 22 Project

Monteith Construction is seeking proposals for the Raleigh Fire Station No. 22 Project. Informal Scopes (07C – Thermal and Moisture Protection, 08A – Doors and Hardware, 08C – ​Overhead Doors, 09B – Acoustical Panel Ceiling, 10A – Signage, 10B – Specialties, 10C – Aluminum Canopies, 12 – Louver Blinds, 14 – Hydraulic Elevator, 32 – Planting) will be received until 2:00 PM on October 15th, 2020. The Formal Package will be bid to prequalified contractors only (03 – Concrete, 04 – Masonry, 05 – Metals, 06 – Millwork, 07A – Roofing,  07B – Metal Wall Panels, 08B – Glass, Glazing and Aluminum,  09A – Drywall,  09C – Resilient Flooring and Carpet, 09D – Tiling, 09E – Painting, 21 – Fire Suppression, 22 – Plumbing, 23 – Mechanical, 26 – Electrical, 31– Earthwork). Sealed Proposals received until 2:00 PM October 15th, 2020 and will be delivered to Monteith Construction 801 W Morgan St, Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27603, to the attention of Kaitlin Condreay with project name noted on envelope. The bids will be publicly opened in the Monteith parking lot and virtually with the link below. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instruction to Bidders.  Please note, there is a mandatory site visit for prequalified site contractors that will take place September 29th at 10:00 AM at 10050 Durant Road Raleigh, NC 27614. Face masks and social distancing are required for the both the site visit and the public opening of the bids.

Pursuant to General Statutes of North Carolina Sections 143-128.2 and 143-131, and in accordance with City policy, the City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City’s contracting and procurement programs to include Professional Services; Goods and Other Services; and Construction.  The prime contractor will be required to identify participation of MWBE businesses in their Bid, and how that participation will be achieved.  Furthermore, the City’s goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding. MWBE firms are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.
