Sealed bids for the Salisbury High School Gymnasium Fitness Center Addition, located in Salisbury, North Carolina will be received by Rowan Salisbury Schools Operations Department until 3:00 pm on May 6, 2020, in the Robertson Board Room at the District Office, 500 North Main Street, Salisbury, NC 28144, and thereafter opened and publicly read via live-stream video.

The work includes General, Site, Civil, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical work to be constructed under a Single Prime Contract.  The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual.

Prospective bidders may obtain complete sets of plans and specifications through the office of ADW Architects, p.a. during normal business hours beginning April 6, 2020, and in the plan rooms of ConstructConnect, Dodge, and from Duncan-Parnell.

Bidding Documents are available in electronic or printed form from Duncan Parnell via their bid room  Neither OWNER nor ARCHITECT will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than from Duncan Parnell. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms.  Pre-bid inspection opportunities at the project site, Salisbury High School Gymnasium, 500 Lincolnton Rd, Salisbury, NC  28114, will also be discussed at the pre-bid meeting. 

Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier’s check issued by or a certified check drawn on a bank of trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation payable to Rowan Salisbury Schools in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina.  If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit.  All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades.

The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
