All bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud at the WCPSS Facilities Design & Construction Office, 1429 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh, NC. Plans, Specifications, and Bidders Manual will be available for inspection at the office of T. A. Loving Company in Goldsboro and online at www.talovingplanroom.com, the NC Institute of Minority Economic Development, the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas and the Raleigh office of LS3P. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at WCPSS Facilities Design & Construction Office, 1429 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh, NC. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms.

Following the pre-bid, a public session will be conducted to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards that the owner will consider for approval on this project. In accordance with GS133-3 and WCPSS procedures, the following preferred brand items are being considered as Alternates by the owner for this project: A6 – Door Hardware per schedule, A7 – Food Service Equipment per schedule, A8 – BAS by Honeywell, Schneider or Johnson Controls, A9 – Theatrical Lighting by ETC, A10 – Access Control by S2 Security, A11 – Video Entry by AI Phone, A12 – Intrusion Detection by Gemini Napco Security Group, A13 – Security Cameras by Axis, A14 – Fire Alarm by Siemens, Simplex Grinnell or Mircom,

JE Dunn | TA Loving, a Joint Venture, invites all Minority contractors and suppliers to participate in the bidding process. NOTE: The bidder shall include with the proposal the form Identification of Minority Business Participation identifying the minority business participation it will use on the project and shall include either Affidavit A or Affidavit B as applicable. Forms and instructions are included within the Proposal Form in the bid documents. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the bid. (GS143-128.2c Effective 1/1/2002).
