Project Information:
The new Stough Elementary School is based on Wake County’s 44 teaching space model and will have a maximum capacity of 644 students, upon completion, with no future mobiles or expansion. This will accommodate Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, as well as Pre-k and Adaptive Curriculum spaces. The school will be located on an approximately 14-acre site that Stough Elementary currently occupies. The site is located on Edwards Mill Road near Parklake Ave. The existing school will be demolished, and a new elementary school will be built in its place. The building will be steel framed. Exterior walls will be comprised of traditional cavity wall construction. Exterior veneer materials include brick and ACM panels. Back-up walls are either metal studs with mineral wool and gypsum drywall or CMU at the dining/play area. The new layout will incorporate smooth carpool and bus loading, covered pickup and play areas, a screened loading and service area, improved outdoor gathering spaces and play surfaces with unique play spaces for different age groups.

This meeting will take place on:
