NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals for single-prime bids from the pre-qualified contractors will be received by the County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 McDowell Street, Raleigh, N.C. 27601, up to 2:00 p.m., February 27th 2020 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of the Wake County Community Service Center Renovation, Phase II, located in Raleigh, N.C. Complete contract documents will be open for inspection in the offices of the Architect; AGC, Raleigh Branch; F.W. Dodge, Raleigh Branch; North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development (NCIMED), Durham; Hispanic Contractors Association of The Carolinas, Raleigh office, North Carolina; or may be obtained from the Architect upon deposit of Three-hundred Dollars ($300.00) in cash or certified check. Complete digital format documents can also be obtained for free by requesting a PDF electronic set from Architect (attn. Sebastian Duca AIA, firstname.lastname@example.org, 919-833-3737).
The plan deposit will be returned to Contractors submitting bids provided all documents are returned in good condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. The plan deposit will be returned to Contractors not submitting bids provided all documents are returned in good condition at least five (5) days prior to the bid date.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, February 10th 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the project site, 401 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27608.
Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with NCGS §143-8. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in the Project Manual.
No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
