REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
YARD WASTE AND STORM DEBRIS GRINDING
FROM HURRICANE FLORENCE
CITY OF WASHINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA
The City of Washington is seeking proposals for the services of yard waste and storm debris grinding. Services shall include at minimum:
Yard Waste Grinding Services:
- Provide mobile on-site yard waste grinding services at the Washington-Warren Airport site, Spring Road, Washington, North Carolina 27889 to grind and spread storm debris;
- Grind yard waste to final product and spread grinding material;
- Clean yard waste area, grade as necessary to remove ruts and bumps;
- All work shall be completed by March 1, 2019.
The submission of a bid will assume that the contractor has fully examined the site and knows existing conditions and has made every provision for operation under existing conditions, and has included all necessary items. Failure of the contractor to become fully aware of working conditions shall not become a basis for additional payment in the event adverse working conditions are encountered.
Submit pricing for grinding and spreading material.
Sealed proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m., Friday December 21, 2018 at the Public Works Office, located at 102 East 2nd Street, Washington, North Carolina 27889, or mail to City of Washington, PO Box 1988, Washington, North Carolina 27889.
Proposals shall be labeled “City of Washington Request for Proposal Yard Waste and Storm Debris Grinding from Hurricane Florence”. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.

Approximately – 3000 cubic yards
