WILMINGTON, NC – New Hanover Regional Medical Center employees have once again broken their own record for generosity. Employees have committed to donate $413,131 to the NHRMC Foundation’s 2020 Employee Campaign, which supports special projects that benefit patients and employees in need.

“With heartfelt thanks, I recognize our NHRMC employees who give back not only through their service to the organization but through generous contributions right from their paychecks,” said Schorr Davis, NHRMC Vice President of Development/Foundation Executive Director. “They believe in the important work we all do here, and they truly make a difference.”

Last year employees pledged $361,000 and a record number of employees participated again this year.

The Employee Campaign gives NHRMC, Pender Memorial Hospital and NHRMC Physician Group employees an opportunity to designate their gift to a particular area, such as nursing education or the popular Employee Benevolent Fund, which assists employees facing a financial crisis or hardship. This year also featured the opportunity to support the Foundation’s newly formed Emergency Response Fund to support the areas of greatest need during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
