Phoenix, AZ — Valley women will “declare war” on negative self-beliefs preventing them from leading successful lives at the Phenomenal Woman Empowerment Network (PWEN) Experience on Sat., May 4th from 9:30am to 4:30pm at the Raven Golf Resort in Phoenix. The 8th annual event will challenge women to eliminate excuses, silence their inner-critic and stop accepting mediocrity in their relationships and careers.

According to PWEN founder, Sharise L. Erby-Castle, “This years’ experience is focused on working through adversity. So much of the time, thought leaders, social media influencers, only focus on the good stuff – success, prosperity – when in reality; times are tough for many people. Depression is real, and people are committing suicide at an alarming rate. I ‘declare war’ is about teaching women how to get through the hard times and help them reclaim their lives through the testimonies of real people who have overcome adversity and are still standing today.”

PWEN is a Phoenix-based 501c3 partnership organization created to support, encourage, and empower women of all ages and races. Since 2013, the nonprofit has positively impacted the lives of over 11,500 women through events and programs to promote personal, professional and spiritual growth.

Speakers for the May 4th event include Erby-Castle, Leslie Craig of Mirror International, Laticia Nicole Beatty of Speak Life Enterprises, Yvonne Capehart of Sister Keeper International Ministries, Anita Scott of Abundance in Truth World Changers Ministries and Kirsten and Clarence Womack of Move with Mack.

Event proceeds will benefit the Carrie J. Gray Scholarship and Awards Program to provide college tuition assistance to financially disadvantaged young women. Recent recipients for the program, which is named after Erby-Castle’s late mother, are Ryanna Futrell (2016), Alyssa Williams (2017) and Isabella Gutierrez (2018).

The popular event, which sells out each year, receives ecstatic reviews from participants. According to Monica Thomas, a New York resident who attended the 2018 PWEN event in Phoenix, “This was such an amazing experience with women empowering, supporting and loving each other. We laughed, we cried, we praised.”

For over 25 years, Erby-Castle has been coaching, leading, teaching, ministering and speaking to women and men in the community, her church, at conferences or wherever she feels the “tugging at her spirit.”

In 2016, Erby-Castle was honored with the Black Wall Street Community Leadership Award in Phoenix. In March of 2019, PWEN launched its first independent chapter in Tulsa, OK.

When asked who should attend the 2019 experience, Erby-Castle said, “Women who are tired of accepting less. Women who are fed up with finding themselves playing the role of victim. Women who are not realizing their full potential and know there is much more to their journey. This is also for women who want to see other women win.”

The 8th Annual Phenomenal Woman Empowerment Network Experience is being held on Saturday, May 4th, from 9:30am to 4:30pm, at the Raven Golf Resort located at 3636 E. Baseline Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85042.
