Washington, DC — The Howard University School of Business (HUSB) has launched its new Executive Certification in Diversity Coaching (ECDC) program. The program is a collaborative partnership with the award-winning CoachDiversity Institute (CDI). CDI serves as the only institution that combines the transformational power of coaching with diversity and leadership training.

Building upon a cornerstone of innovation and excellence, Howard University was the perfect partner to fuel this mission. Steeped in a diverse heritage that spans more than 150 years, it’s an opportunity to merge legacy with contemporary.

“Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come.” — Victor Hugo

The mission is to offer a high-value, industry-edge program that disrupts how executive coaching is presented, embraced, practiced and executed. Program participants will receive world-class education, best practices, and market-ready strategies to make an indelible impact in their communities, organizations and spheres of influence for generations to come.

“The Howard University School of Business is excited about our strategic partnership with CoachDiversity and the launch of the Executive Certification in Diversity Coaching program. As a global leader in business education, HUSB is not only interested in the development of world-class leaders and executives, but also in the development of skilled coaches who are equipped to support the success of diverse talent, and also lead the evolution of diversity and inclusion in the modern workplace,” states Kim R. Wells, Executive Director of Executive Education.

With the landscape of entrepreneurship, corporate, government, education and entertainment shifting at unprecedented rates, executives and professionals of all levels find themselves struggling to stay afloat. Consequently, organizations are in dire need of capable and top-skilled leaders who can navigate an inclusive workforce through cultural competencies, workplace challenges, performance improvements and career decisions.

The distinctive ECDC program is for executives and professionals who want to develop successful coaching competencies, diversity and inclusion integration and leadership skills for use with individuals, teams, or an entire organization. Those who are new to coaching or those who desire to enhance and validate their current coaching skill set.

“CoachDiversity Institute places greater value on learning new tools that help leaders think differently about difference and translating these skills into everyday practice,” states Dr. Towanna Burrous, CEO and Howard University Alumni.

This 4-month program of study is accredited by the International Coaching Federation and delivered by CoachDiversity’s team of instructors. It involves 5 days of instruction in Washington, DC on the campus of Howard University School of Business, followed by an additional 25 hours of peer coaching practicum and self-study.

Open enrollment is currently underway with the inaugural cohort beginning on November 4 – November 8, 2019. To enroll today, visit the ECDC website or for additional inquiries, email [email protected] or contact 202-630-1832.
