Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Upgrades

by December 2, 2021

The Caldwell County Board of Education is seeking qualifications from qualified Engineering Firms for the replacement and upgrade of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units in schools throughout the district.

The project is being funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund and has a project budget of approximately $12,000,000. This budget is inclusive of engineering fees, outdated HVAC unit replacements, chiller replacements, installation of controls, and the possible addition of bipolar ionization to existing HVAC systems. The project design is anticipated to start during the spring of 2022. The owner will work with the selected Engineering Firm in developing the project timeline. All funds are to be expended by September 30, 2024. The Engineering Firm will be evaluated and selected through a qualifications-based selection process.
