REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
ADDENDUM 2 FOR REGIONAL SKILLS TRAINING CENTER
2ND FLOOR UPFIT
ONSLOW COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM
Sealed proposals will be received by the Architect on behalf of the Onslow County Schools located at 200 Broadhurst Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540, in Meeting Room #4 on Thursday, April 22, 2021. All bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction at 11:00 a.m. on this date. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract for the construction as shown and noted in the contract documents. All Contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the State Laws of North Carolina governing their trades. Contractor should have five (5) years of construction experience with at least three (3) similar projects to his credit (with favorable recommendations) and all Contractors will be required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (AIA Document A305 or equivalent) twenty-four (24) hours before requesting Bid Documents.
Proposal must be on standard forms furnished by the Architect and must be addressed as follows:

Proposal forms, plans and specifications may be obtained from the office of the Architect, Pinnacle Architecture, P.A., PO Box 187, (630 Team Rd. Ste 200), Matthews, NC 28106 (28105) (704)847-9851 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The project must be completed by July 30, 2021.
A Pre-Bid Conference was conducted at the Onslow Regional Skills Training Center located at 261 Northwest Corridor Blvd., Jacksonville, NC @ 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal; or, in lieu of the deposit of cash or certified check, a bid bond in the above amount. Successful bidder may not withdraw his bid within thirty days after the opening thereof without forfeiture of his bid bond. In the event of the failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the above deposit will be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder should it be deemed in the best interest of the project or the Owner.
