Addition and Renovation of the Nash County Detention Facility

Barnhill Contracting has been selected to bid on the addition and renovation of the Nash County Detention Facility located at 234 West Washington Street, Nashville, NC. The new addition is approximately 16,950 sf. Construction consists of; a PEMB system, slab-on-grade, masonry, standing-seam metal roofing system, manufactured steel detention cells, an electric traction machine-room-less elevator, new gas-fired packaged rooftop HVAC system, fire protection system, video surveillance system and door access control system. The renovation space is approximately 12,125 sf. The renovation scope of work includes helical pier foundation supports, masonry, security hollow metal wall panel cells, a new HVAC system, fire protection system, video surveillance and door access control.  Exterior and street improvements include the relocation of site utilities, roadway expansion, a new security perimeter fence and vehicle access gate. Construction is anticipated to begin by September 2021. This solicitation for pricing is based on bid documents. These documents are listed on iSqFt. Historically underutilized business participation is encouraged.
