YANK ROAD BOOSTER PUMP STATION REPLACEMENT & TOWN OF LUCAMA INTERCONNECTION

General Notice 

The County of Wilson (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: 

Yank Road Booster Pump Station Replacement & Town of Lucama Interconnection
Project Number:  22-026 

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the County of Wilson at the Wilson County Government Center, 2^nd Floor Conference Room located at 2201 Miller Road South, Wilson, North Carolina 27893, until Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. local time.  At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. 

The Project includes the following Work:

• One – 600 gpm Water Booster Pumping Station including but not limited to:
• Pre-Engineered Booster Pump Skid and Control Panel
• Pre-Engineered Chemical Feed Pump Skid and Storage Tank
• Cast-In-Place Concrete Slab
• Pre-Cast Concrete Building
• Piping, valves, fittings, and hydrants
• Standby Generator and Transfer Switch
• Electrical
• Demolition of existing Booster Pump Station
• Asphalt Access Drive
• One – Bulk Water Meter including but not limited to:
• Cast-In-Place Concrete Pad
• Aluminum Meter Enclosure
• 4-inch Turbine Meter
• Piping, valves, fittings, and tapping sleeves and valves

The Project has an expected duration of 300 days.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.  Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office upon receipt of a non-refundable payment of $150.00 for each set.  Make checks for Bidding Documents payable to Green Engineering, P.L.L.C.

Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the Wilson County Government Center, 2^nd Floor Conference Room located at 2201 Miller Road South, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.  Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Instructions to Bidders.

The Owner has developed a goal of ten percent (10%) for participation of minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises in construction contracts awarded pursuant to NCGS 143-128.  Bidders must comply with the Owner’s requirements for W/MBE documentation.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS.

BIDDERS shall be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina.

Small, minority, and women’s businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit BIDS.
