Craven County Schools Emergency Generators

Craven County (Owner) is requesting Re-Bids for the construction of the following Project: 

FY 2020-288 

Re-Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Craven County – Planning and Community Development office at 2828 Neuse Boulevard, New Bern, NC 28562, until Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 2:00 PM local time.  At that time, the Bids received will publicly be opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Installation of emergency generator systems at five Craven County Schools to allow operation of the school HVAC systems should the County experience power outages lasting multiple days. 

The five sites include:

West Craven Middle School
515 N. West Craven Middle School Road,
New Bern, NC 28562

Havelock Elementary School
201 Cunningham Lane,
Havelock, NC 28532

Tucker Creek Middle School
200 Sermons Boulevard,
Havelock, NC 28532

Arthur Edwards Elementary School
200 Education Lane,
Havelock, NC 28532

Obtaining the Bidding Documents:

Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the following designated website: .

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project.   All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM and 5PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Electronic copies will be made available to prospective bidders at the website address and issuing office noted above.  It will be the responsibility of the bidder to arrange for printed copies.  Complete sets of the Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibilities for errors or misrepresentations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents.  Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not authorize or confer a license for any other use.
