will receive bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required for:

HANDICAPPED DWELLING UNIT RENOVATION
DEVELOPMENT NC19P076001
FARMVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA

Sealed bids shall be received until 2:00 p.m. Legally Prevailing Time, on August 4, 2021 at the offices of the Owner.  At that time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Proposals submitted by mail should be addressed to the Owner at the address set out above and plainly marked as indicated in the “Instructions to Bidders.”  All proposals submitted by mail will be collected at the above mentioned, mailing address at 1:00 P.M. Legally Prevailing Time, on the day mentioned above and taken to the offices of the Owner.  There they will be opened.

Information on this project may be obtained from the Architect’s website at www.brr-architects.com .  The work for the above referenced project consists of, but is not limited to, the work herein described as follows:

Renovate (2) two 2-bedroom dwelling units at 4283 A & B Anderson Avenue to provide interior and exterior handicapped accessibility.  Renovation shall include but is not necessarily limited to:

a.  Reconfigure floor plan of bathrooms and kitchens to provide accessible clearances.

b.  Provide new under-slab waste piping to accommodate new bathroom and kitchen configuration.

c.  Provide new water service from exterior shut off to existing water heater and new plumbing fixtures.

d.  Provide new bathroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures, faucets, drains, supply stops and risers, fittings, and accessories.

e.  Provide new bathroom and kitchen cabinets.

f.   Provide new bath accessories.

g.  Provide new interior and exterior door hardware.

h.  Provide new lighting fixtures and devices where required due to reconfiguration of bathrooms and kitchens.

i.   Provide new bath ventilation and duct to existing roof cap.

j.   Remove existing and provide new flooring throughout each apartment.

k.  Provide new solid surface tub surround systems.

l.   Provide new solid surface bathroom wainscot and trim.

m. Repair walls and ceilings and provide new wall and ceiling finishes throughout each apartment.

n.  Provide new handicapped accessible parking and access to each apartment.

Electronic copies of all Bid Documents, including Drawings and Specifications may be obtained by prime contractors, subcontractors, or material suppliers, from the Architect at [email protected] .  Prime Contractors wishing to submit a bid are requested to provide the Architect with a company name, street address, telephone number and a current E-mail address where addenda may be forwarded.

No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
