NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-129 sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Burnsville until 2:00 p.m. May 28, 2024, in the office of the Town Clerk at Burnsville Town Hall 2 Town Square, Burnsville, North Carolina, at which time they will be opened and considered for the following project:

MEADOW ROAD CULVERT REPAIR

The Bid Opening will be held at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on May 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mark W. Bennett board room located upstairs in the Burnsville Town Hall at 2 Town Square, Burnsville, North Carolina 28714 for the project entitled “Meadow Road Culvert Repair” project.

The project area is located at the end Meadow Road near East Main Street (GPS 35.91661-82.28737).  Contractor will use labor, equipment and materials for the repair of a reinforced concrete box culvert.  Repair and reconstruction of the dislocated box culvert roof slab is needed.  All work is to be completed in-kind and within existing footprint to return the facility to its pre-disaster design, use, and function.  This project is funded by FEMA and subject to certain Federal contracting provisions and Federal Uniform Guidance.

Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained office of the Town Clerk between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or by email request [email protected] .

The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities concerning bid to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the contract.  The bids must be for a lump sum.  No bids are allowed on a contingency or percentage basis.
