Renovations of Building K

Cape Fear Community College is seeking bids for the Renovations of Building K, an auto body tech training facility. Building K is a 6100 square foot facility with classrooms, offices, bathrooms, auto body garage bay and painting booth bay.  Renovations include site work, fencing, concrete, masonry, structural steel, carpentry, insulation, roofing, overhead doors, doors/hardware, specialties, mechanical, plumbing and electrical work.

Sealed proposals for Single Prime Bids will be received until 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 23 2018 in Union Station Building, Room 175, 502 North Front Street, Wilmington, NC for the construction of the Cape Fear Community College – Building K Renovations, Wilmington, NC (SCO # 16-16124-01A, NCCCS # 2197), at which time and place bids will be opened and read.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for bidders, subcontractors and vendors on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 10:00am in Building K, 411 North 3rd Street, Wilmington, NC. Prime bidders are required to attend.

In accordance with GS133-3 and SCO procedures, the following Owner preferred brand items will be considered as alternates by the Owner for this project:

Door Hardware:
Alternate No. 3A: Mechanically Operated Exit Devices by Corbin/Russwin
Alternate No. 3B: Door Closers by LCN
Alternate No. 3C: Mortise Locks and Cylinders by Corbin/Russwin

Justification of any approvals will be made available to the public in writing no later than 7 days prior to bid date.
