Sealed bids for the Salisbury High School Security Fencing Project, located in Salisbury, North Carolina will be received by Rowan Salisbury Schools Operations Department until 3:00 pm on August 29, 2022, in the Wallace Educational Forum, 500 North Main Street, Salisbury, NC 28144, and thereafter opened and publicly read via live-stream video.

The work is to be constructed under a Single Prime Contract.  The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual.

Prospective bidders may view complete sets of plans and specifications through the office of ADW Architects, p.a. during normal business hours beginning August 8, 2022, and in the plan room of Duncan-Parnell.

Bidding Documents are available in electronic or printed form from Duncan Parnell via their bid room .  All bidders that purchase documents from any other source do so at their own risk and will NOT be added to the official Plan-Holders List.  Neither OWNER nor ARCHITECT will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than from Duncan Parnell. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders at the Project Site – Salisbury High School Main Building, 500 Lincolnton Road, Salisbury, NC 28114 on August 15, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms.  Pre-bid inspection opportunities at the project site will also be discussed. 

Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier’s check issued by or a certified check drawn on a bank of trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation payable to Rowan Salisbury Schools in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina.  If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit.  All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to accept any proposal as submitted, and to waive any formalities.
