LEGAL INVITATION FOR BIDS
ALBERT J. ELLIS AIRPORT
TAXIWAY ALPHA REHABILITATION
Sealed bids will be received by the County of Onslow in the Aviation Offices at Albert J. Ellis Airport, 264 Albert Ellis Airport Road, Richlands, North Carolina 28574, until 2:00 PM local time, July 27, 2021, at which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud in the Airport’s Administration Conference Room for:
The Contract will include the rehabilitation of a 7100-foot bituminous aircraft taxiway, bituminous aircraft holding bay, pavement markings, and erosion control as required.
There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held in Airport’s Administration Board Room at Albert J. Ellis Airport, 264 Albert Ellis Airport Road, Richlands, North Carolina 28574 at 1:30 PM on July 15, 2021. All prime and subcontractors are encouraged to attend this conference. Please RSVP to [email protected] with the number of attendees by 12:00 pm July 12, 2021, so the venue can be revised if additional space is needed.
Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Performance and Payment Bond shall also be required by the awarded contractor. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding.
Participation in the Owner’s Minority Business Enterprises/Woman Business Enterprises Program (MBE/WBE) will be determined prior to bid and issued via addendum. If the Contractor elects to use an MBE/WBE subcontractor(s), it shall be reported using the forms and procedures within this Contract.
This project will be bid as a single contract. Bids must remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. Bids may only be withdrawn as specified in NCGS 143-129.1. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Project Specifications. Plans and specifications are available for electronic download by contacting Chris Mueffelmann (RS&H Architects-Engineers-Planners, Inc., 8521 Six Forks Road, Suite 400, Raleigh, NC 27615, 919-926-4123, [email protected]) to be placed on the plan holder’s list.
It is the sole responsibility of each prospective bidder to notify the Engineer (RS&H Architects-Engineers-Planners, Inc., 8521 Six Forks Road, Suite 400, Raleigh, NC 27615, 919-926-4123, [email protected]) that you are a plan holder in order to receive addenda. Each prospective bidder shall provide and maintain the following current information with the Engineer: company name, contact person, mailing address, e-mail, and telephone number.
