The Wake County Office Building Elevator Modernization project

Sealed proposals will be received by the County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 2:00 p.m., May 20, 2021, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of The Wake County Office Building Elevator Modernization project, located at 337 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.

The work generally consists of the modernization of six gearless passenger elevators, maintenance, HVAC equipment, lighting, power, security, fire protection, and architectural finishes.

Electronic files (PDF’s) of the complete plans and specifications can be obtained beginning April 21, 2021 from Accent Imaging free of charge. Printed copies of the plans and specifications may be purchased from Accent Imaging at (919)782-3332. Plans can be accessed for viewing at Accent Imaging will respond to questions concerning general contractors on the bid list. Complete contract documents will be open for inspection in the office of the Architect.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday April 29, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Salisbury street entrance to the Wake County Office Building. The meeting will address specific project questions and bidding procedures.

Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with NCGS §143-8. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in Section 00300 of the Project Manual.

No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
