2017 Voting Rules
Most North Carolina municipalities have elections in 2017.
2017 is an odd-numbered year, which means that municipal elections all across North Carolina will be held in the fall. Municipal elections occur between September and November, depending on what style of election the municipality uses.
The state of North Carolina provides for four distinct election types for municipal races, which are detailed more fully on the N.C. State Board of Elections’ election information page.
